VASOCARE 35mg Tablets (30’s) are a prescription-only medication available at Gathimaini Pharmacy in Thika, Kenya, primarily used for the effective management of angina pectoris (chest pain). Each tablet contains Trimetazidine 35mg in a modified-release (MR) formulation. Trimetazidine is an anti-ischemic agent that works by improving the energy metabolism of heart cells, allowing them to function more efficiently under conditions of reduced blood flow (ischemia). This helps to protect heart muscle cells from the effects of oxygen deprivation, thereby reducing the frequency and severity of angina attacks and improving exercise tolerance. VASOCARE 35mg is typically prescribed as an add-on therapy for patients who are not adequately controlled by or are intolerant to other anti-anginal treatments. It can also be indicated for the symptomatic treatment of vertigo and tinnitus of ischemic origin.
