Description
HIRZOLID 600MGS is a Prescription Only Medicine (POM) containing Linezolid 600 mg, a potent antibiotic from the Oxazolidinone class. It is used to treat severe bacterial infections, particularly those caused by drug-resistant Gram-positive bacteria such as MRSA and VRE. Indications include nosocomial and community-acquired pneumonia, complicated and uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections, and VRE infections. Linezolid works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis.
