GLUCOWELL-MET 50/850MG is a Prescription Only Medicine (POM) containing a combination of Vildagliptin 50mg (a DPP-4 inhibitor) and Metformin Hydrochloride 850mg (a biguanide). Manufactured by Cosmos Limited, this medication is used in adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus to improve blood sugar control when diet, exercise, and metformin monotherapy are insufficient. Vildagliptin enhances natural insulin and reduces glucagon, while metformin decreases liver glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity. It is typically taken once or twice daily with meals.
