Description
GLIPITA M 50/1000MG is a Prescription Only Medicine (POM), commonly supplied in a pack of 30 tablets. Each tablet contains Sitagliptin 50mg (a DPP-4 inhibitor) and Metformin Hydrochloride 1000mg (a biguanide), manufactured by Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd. It is used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, especially when single-agent therapy is insufficient. This combination works by enhancing insulin release and sensitivity, and reducing hepatic glucose production.
