GAVISCON LIQUID DOUBLE ACTION is an Over-The-Counter (OTC) oral suspension manufactured by Reckitt Benckiser. It provides fast, powerful, and long-lasting relief from heartburn (acid reflux) and indigestion. Its “double action” is achieved through a combination of Sodium Alginate (500mg/10ml), which forms a protective “raft” to prevent reflux, and Sodium Bicarbonate (213mg/10ml) and Calcium Carbonate (325mg/10ml), which act as antacids to neutralize excess stomach acid. It is commonly used after meals, at bedtime, and is suitable during pregnancy. Available in various pack sizes, including 150ml, 200ml, and 300ml bottles.
