Ganfort Eye Drops are a powerful, dual-action medication prescribed for the management of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. This combination formula contains two active ingredients that work together to provide superior pressure reduction. Bimatoprost, a prostaglandin analogue, increases the natural drainage of fluid from the eye, while Timolol, a beta-blocker, reduces the production of this fluid. By addressing both the outflow and production of aqueous humor, Ganfort effectively lowers eye pressure and helps protect the optic nerve from damage that can lead to vision loss.
