FUCIDIN OINTMENT is a highly effective topical antibiotic containing 2% Sodium Fusidate (20 mg/g). Manufactured by LEO Pharma, this Prescription Only Medicine (POM) is formulated in an oily base, making it suitable for treating dry, scaly, or crusted bacterial skin infections. It works by halting the growth of susceptible bacteria, primarily Staphylococcus aureus, which commonly cause conditions such as impetigo, infected eczema, boils, folliculitis, and infected cuts or wounds.
