Description
CYTOTEC 200MCG TABLETS contain Misoprostol 200 micrograms, a synthetic prostaglandin E1 analogue with significant protective effects on the gastrointestinal lining and potent uterotonic properties. In its FDA-approved use, Misoprostol works by reducing gastric acid secretion and enhancing the protective mucus and bicarbonate layers in the stomach, effectively preventing and treating stomach and duodenal ulcers, particularly those caused by Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs).
