BETASALIC SOAP

Betasalic Soap is a medicated dermatological preparation specifically formulated for the topical treatment of certain inflammatory and hyperkeratotic skin conditions. This unique soap combines two potent active ingredients:

• Betamethasone (e.g., as Dipropionate or Valerate): This is a potent corticosteroid that effectively reduces inflammation, redness, itching, and swelling associated with various skin disorders. It works by suppressing the immune response in the skin.
• Salicylic Acid: A keratolytic agent that helps to soften and loosen thickened, scaly skin. It facilitates the penetration of Betamethasone by removing the outer layer of dead skin cells and reducing hyperkeratosis (skin thickening).

This synergistic combination makes Betasalic Soap particularly effective for conditions characterized by both inflammation and excessive scaling. It is typically used for:

• Psoriasis: Especially chronic plaque psoriasis, where thick, silvery scales are present.
• Chronic Eczema: Particularly in areas with significant thickening (lichenification) and scaling.
• Other hyperkeratotic skin conditions: Where there is significant thickening of the outer layer of the skin.
