Description
Azitro Suspension (15ml Bottle) contains Azithromycin, a widely used macrolide antibiotic, typically supplied as a dry powder that requires reconstitution with water to form an oral suspension. Common concentrations for a 15ml bottle are either 100mg/5ml or 200mg/5ml, providing a total of 300mg or 600mg of Azithromycin per bottle, respectively, for a complete short course of treatment. Azithromycin works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thus stopping the growth and replication of susceptible bacteria. This palatable liquid formulation is particularly suitable for pediatric patients and others who have difficulty swallowing tablets. It is commonly prescribed for various bacterial infections affecting the respiratory tract (e.g., ear infections, sinusitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis, pneumonia), skin and soft tissues, and certain sexually transmitted infections. The prepared suspension should be shaken well before each use.
