Arbitel 80 H Tablets are a powerful prescription medication indicated for the comprehensive management of essential hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults. This fixed-dose combination tablet contains two active ingredients: Telmisartan 80mg and Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg, which work synergistically to provide effective blood pressure control.
- Telmisartan is an Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker (ARB). It acts by blocking the effects of Angiotensin II, a natural substance in the body that causes blood vessels to narrow. By relaxing and widening blood vessels, Telmisartan helps to reduce blood pressure and improve blood flow throughout the body.
- Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic, often referred to as a “water pill.” It works on the kidneys to increase the excretion of excess salt (sodium and chloride) and water from the body through urine. This reduction in fluid volume helps to further lower blood pressure and can alleviate fluid retention.
