Trental SR (Pentoxifylline) 400mg Tablets (20’s) are a prescription-only medication available at Gathimaini Pharmacy in Thika, Kenya, primarily used to treat symptoms of peripheral arterial disease (PAD). Each sustained-release tablet contains Pentoxifylline 400mg, a hemorheologic agent that improves blood flow by reducing blood viscosity and increasing the flexibility of red blood cells. This action helps to enhance blood and oxygen delivery to the limbs, reducing debilitating symptoms like intermittent claudication (pain, aching, or cramping in the legs that occurs during exercise and is relieved by rest).
