GLUCOMET 500MG 56`S is a Prescription Only Medicine (POM) containing Metformin Hydrochloride 500mg. It is a widely used oral anti-diabetic medication from the biguanide class, typically supplied in a pack of 56 tablets. Glucomet 500mg is primarily prescribed as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults and children (10 years and older) with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It works by reducing glucose production by the liver, decreasing intestinal glucose absorption, and improving the body’s sensitivity to insulin. It is also used in the management of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).
