Description
GABBRORAL TABLETS 250MG is a Prescription Only Medicine (POM) containing Paromomycin Sulphate 250mg, an aminoglycoside antibiotic. Due to its poor absorption from the gastrointestinal tract, it acts locally in the intestines. It is primarily used for the treatment of intestinal amoebiasis (acute and chronic forms) and as an adjunctive therapy for the management of hepatic coma by reducing ammonia-producing bacteria in the gut. It may also be used for other intestinal protozoal infections (e.g., Giardiasis, Cryptosporidiosis) and certain tapeworm infections. Gabbroral is typically administered orally, with or after meals.
