FRUSEMIDE INJECTION 2ML AMPOULES contain 20 mg of Frusemide (Furosemide) per 2ml, a potent loop diuretic. This Prescription Only Medicine (POM) is administered intravenously or intramuscularly by a healthcare professional. It is primarily indicated for the rapid and effective treatment of oedema (fluid retention) associated with conditions such as congestive heart failure, chronic kidney disease (including nephrotic syndrome), and liver disease. It is also a critical adjunctive therapy for acute pulmonary oedema and cerebral oedema. Frusemide works by significantly increasing the excretion of water and salts from the body via the kidneys.
