Description
FOSFOMAX GRANULES 3G provides a single sachet containing 3 grams of Fosfomycin Tromethamine, a potent, broad-spectrum oral antibiotic. As a Prescription Only Medicine (POM) in Kenya, it is specifically indicated for the one-time treatment of acute, uncomplicated lower urinary tract infections (UTIs) or bladder infections (acute cystitis) in women caused by susceptible bacteria. Fosfomax works by uniquely inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. The granules must be dissolved in approximately 100 ml of cool water and consumed immediately after preparation, preferably on an empty stomach. Its single-dose convenience makes it a unique option for targeted UTI therapy.
