Description
FLUTAN 250mg Tablets are a Prescription Only Medicine (POM) used in the hormonal treatment of prostate cancer. Each tablet contains 250mg of Flutamide, a non-steroidal antiandrogen that works by blocking the effects of male hormones (androgens) on prostate cancer cells. This action helps to inhibit the growth and spread of hormone-sensitive prostate cancer. Flutan 250mg is typically administered as part of a combination therapy, usually alongside an LHRH agonist or following surgical castration, to achieve comprehensive androgen suppression, particularly in metastatic prostate cancer.
