Description
Fluconazole IV 100ml is a Prescription Only Medicine (POM) containing 200mg of Fluconazole (at a concentration of 2mg/ml) in a ready-to-infuse sterile solution. Administered intravenously, this powerful systemic antifungal is indispensable for treating severe and invasive fungal or yeast infections, especially in hospitalized patients or those unable to take oral medication. It is highly effective against life-threatening conditions such as systemic candidiasis (including candidemia and disseminated infections), cryptococcal meningitis, and severe oropharyngeal/esophageal candidiasis. Fluconazole IV also plays a vital role in preventing fungal infections in highly immunocompromised individuals. It works by targeting the fundamental components of fungal cells, leading to their eradication.
