Description
CONVENTIN Capsules 300mg (30’s) are a prescription medication containing Gabapentin 300mg, an anti-epileptic drug (anticonvulsant) also widely recognized for its effectiveness in managing various types of neuropathic pain. Gabapentin works by modulating the activity of certain nerve cells in the brain and central nervous system, which helps to reduce the abnormal electrical impulses that cause seizures and also influences the processing of pain signals. CONVENTIN 300mg is primarily indicated as an adjunctive therapy (used in combination with other medications) in the treatment of partial seizures in adults and children aged 6 years and above, and as monotherapy (used alone) for partial seizures in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and above. Furthermore, it is extensively prescribed for the treatment of peripheral neuropathic pain in adults, including debilitating conditions such as painful diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage due to diabetes) and post-herpetic neuralgia (persistent nerve pain following a shingles infection).
