Description
Clobederm Ointment 0.05% (15g) contains Clobetasol Propionate, a very potent (super-high potency) topical corticosteroid. This ointment formulation is specifically designed for the short-term treatment of severe inflammatory and intensely itchy skin conditions that are dry, thickened, or scaly, and have not responded adequately to less potent corticosteroids. It works by powerfully reducing inflammation, redness, itching, and swelling associated with recalcitrant dermatoses such as severe eczema, psoriasis, lichen planus, and discoid lupus erythematosus. The occlusive nature of the ointment base enhances the penetration of the active ingredient and provides a moisturizing effect. Due to its high potency, Clobederm Ointment should be used sparingly, for a limited duration (typically no more than two consecutive weeks), and strictly as directed by a healthcare professional to minimize potential side effects.
