Description
Benacof Paediatric 100ml is a specially formulated syrup for children, designed to effectively relieve symptoms of chesty (productive) coughs and associated cold and flu symptoms. It combines key active ingredients to address multiple aspects of a child’s cough:
- Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride (e.g., 4mg/5ml): This antihistamine helps reduce allergic symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes, which often accompany colds. It also has a mild cough-suppressing action and a sedative effect, which can be beneficial for nighttime cough relief.
- Guaifenesin (e.g., 100mg/5ml): As an expectorant, Guaifenesin works by thinning and loosening the mucus (phlegm) in the airways, making it easier for children to cough it up and clear their chest congestion.
- Menthol (e.g., 1.1mg/5ml): Provides a soothing sensation to the irritated throat and may offer a mild decongestant effect, helping to relieve stuffiness.
Benacof Paediatric is indicated for the symptomatic relief of:
- Productive coughs with thick mucus.
- Nasal congestion and runny nose.
