Description
Aveza 20mg Tablets (30’s) contain Esomeprazole 20mg, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) designed to effectively reduce the amount of acid produced in the stomach. Esomeprazole works by irreversibly blocking the proton pumps in the stomach lining cells, which are responsible for secreting gastric acid. This leads to a significant and sustained reduction in stomach acid levels. Aveza 20mg is primarily prescribed for the treatment of conditions related to excessive stomach acid, including Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), where stomach acid flows back into the esophagus causing heartburn, regurgitation, and acid damage. It is also used to treat erosive esophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and in combination with antibiotics, to eradicate Helicobacter pylori infection which can cause stomach ulcers. The 30-tablet pack provides a convenient supply for a typical course of treatment.
