Description
Ascarex Vet Powder in a convenient 30g sachet is a highly effective veterinary dewormer. Its active ingredient is Piperazine (often as Piperazine Citrate or Piperazine Dihydrochloride). Piperazine acts by causing a neuromuscular blockade in susceptible worms, leading to their flaccid paralysis. This allows the host animal’s normal gut peristalsis to expel the paralyzed worms naturally through the feces. Unlike some other dewormers, Piperazine does not directly kill the worms but rather facilitates their gentle removal.
Ascarex Vet Powder is primarily indicated for the treatment and control of:
- Roundworms (Ascaris species): This includes Ascaris suum in pigs, Ascaridia galli in poultry, and Ascaris lumbricoides in other susceptible animals.
- It may also be effective against other nematodes like Oxyuris (pinworms) and some Strongyloides or Trichuris species in certain animals.
