Description
Amoklavin B/D 1g Tablets 10’s is a highly effective broad-spectrum antibiotic medication formulated for convenient twice-daily (B/D) dosing. Each film-coated tablet contains Amoxicillin 875mg and Clavulanic Acid 125mg. This powerful combination works synergistically: Amoxicillin, a penicillin-type antibiotic, actively kills bacteria, while Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that prevents certain bacteria from developing resistance to Amoxicillin. This makes Amoklavin B/D effective against a wider range of bacterial strains, including those that produce enzymes that would otherwise inactivate Amoxicillin alone.
The 10-tablet pack usually provides a course for 5 days of twice-daily treatment, or as prescribed by your doctor. It is crucial to complete the entire prescribed course of Amoklavin B/D, even if symptoms improve, to ensure complete eradication of the infection and prevent the development of antibiotic resistance.
