Privacy Policy for Live Consultation Plugin

Last Updated: August 12, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how our Live Consultation Plugin (“the plugin”) handles your information when you connect it to your Google Account. This policy is intended for the administrator of the website where the plugin is installed.

1. Information We Access

To provide its core functionality, the plugin requires permission to access your Google Account. Specifically, we request access to the following:

  • Google Calendar: We request permission to create, read, update, and delete events on your primary Google Calendar.
  • User Information: As part of the authentication process, we receive your basic Google profile information, including your email address.

2. How We Use Your Information

The access we request is used for the sole purpose of scheduling and managing video consultations. We do not access, use, or store your data for any other reason.

  • Creating Consultation Events: When a client books a consultation through the booking form, the plugin uses its access to your Google Calendar to automatically create a new calendar event at the specified time.
  • Generating Google Meet Links: As part of creating the calendar event, the plugin instructs Google to generate a unique Google Meet video conferencing link. This link is then associated with the consultation and sent to both you and the client.
  • Adding Attendees: The client’s email address is added to the Google Calendar event as an attendee so they receive the calendar invitation and the Google Meet link. Your admin email is also added as an attendee.

3. Data Storage

To maintain a persistent and secure connection with Google’s services, the plugin stores the following information within your website’s WordPress database:

  • Google API Credentials: Your Client ID and Client Secret are stored securely in your WordPress database to identify your application to Google.
  • Google Access Token: After you grant permission, Google provides an encrypted access token and a refresh token. These tokens are stored securely in your database and are used to authorize the creation of calendar events on your behalf without requiring you to log in each time.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share any of the information accessed from your Google Account with any third-party services or individuals. The data is used exclusively for the functionality described within this policy and remains within your control on your website and in your Google Account.
